Fun site.
Dave Kusek, Star principal is a Sebior VP at Berklee College of Music. He's pretty visible.
Norman (I forgot his last name), was the principal owner of Star. I knew him because he was brother in law to the drummer in my band, John McLaughlin, who now plays for Dicey Riley. I visited both his factory and his home ... which was an octagon dome. John may still have his synare unit given to him by his brother in law. Norm was also the mayor of Stafford Springs for a time. Thanks for the ad -- I passed it along to John, who I'm still close buds with.
Maine Rd I believe
Norm Millard owned Star Instruments. It's my understanding that he was one of the co-founders of EML but left to start Star.
I have a few old Synare 3's in storage somewhere. I have had them for decades! Friends of mine used to live in Stafford!
Hi Gary would you be interested in selling one to me?
