I laughed out loud at the 6SN7 joke. Ooof.
What we have here is one of several such similar projects, the most famous of which now is the Mathison Electropsychometer. It was the progenitor of the E-Meter used in Scientology (TM). Last I checked, the current model sold by the Church of Scientology was about $7,000. It does nothing that a Simpson 260 can’t.
